About Cattlemen's Livestock Auction

Cattlemen’s Livestock Auction was opened in August 1985 in downtown Harrison by Leon Wallace. He ran it for 10 years before building the state of the art barn in July 1995 north of Harrison. The building was constructed with both the buyer and seller in mind with having a spacious loading and unloading space and new computer software. The former barn located downtown was in need of multiple repairs and due to the growth in the cattle industry, he felt the new barn just made sense.

Leon and Carl became good friends through the years as Carl was one of his loyal customers. One of the many ventures of Leon and Carl were when they were partners at the Sheeks Ranch in Cabool, MO on a cattle operation. Carl considered him a dear friend and gives him the credit to his knowledge of the cattle business. Leon passed away in October 2003. His family is dear to Carl and Landon's and they continue to make a difference in the cattle industry in our community.

Carl and Landon have been in the cattle business their whole lives and know the livestock market inside and out. They understand the importance of getting the most for your cattle because they are also farmers. The opportunity arose to purchase the barn in July of 2015 and since Carl and Landon are so passionate about the industry, they felt it was a good fit.

At Cattlemen’s, we want to provide the best customer service possible and want you to feel welcome when you enter our barn. Consider us when searching online for a "livestock auction near me".
