Market was good today.  The calves traded 10-20 higher.  Weigh bulls traded 5-10 higher and weigh cows traded 2-5 higher.

Market Report – March 18, 2020

Next week; March 25th we are going to have two herds of cows.

Compared to last week:

There wasn’t enough calves across all weight classes for an adequate comparison; however, the weigh cows and bulls were up 10.

Next week we are going to have 19 home raised cows and a bull from Huntsville.

Compared to last week:

The cattle today was on the plainer end of the scale.  The better calves traded 5 to 10 lower with the feeder cattle futures down limit today.

Weigh cows and bulls traded steady.

Compared to last week:

Last week we had a prevac sale along with our regular sale with several large groups of cattle.  Today the unweaned calves would be 2 to 3 lower.

Weigh cows and bulls traded fully steady.

Market Report – February 26, 2020

  • Two really nice sets of local cows next week; March 4th. 

Compared to last week:

The weaned calves today were 3-4 higher. The unweaned steer calves were steady to 4 lower and the unweaned heifers traded steady to 3 higher.  The highlight of the day were the ‘all natural’ long-time weaned calves.

Weigh cows and bulls traded fully steady.

  • Prevac Sale February 26th!!!

Compared to two weeks ago:

We had several really good, long time weaned calves this week.  The weaned calves would have been 5 to 7 higher and the bawling calves would have been steady to 2 higher.

Weigh cows and bulls traded 2 higher.

Market Report – January 29, 2020

  • Next Week February 5th we will have a herd of really nice home raised black cows 4-6 yr old.  They will start calving the end of Febuary.
  • Prevac Sale February 26th!!!

Compared to the last week                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Steers and Heifers traded steady with the exception of 650#-800# cattle trading 5-8 lower.

Weigh cows and bulls traded 2 to 4 higher.
